Richies Preview 28/04/12
A hard slog ahead.
It was great to get a win again on sat against a good Hull side, and certainly the most physical game of the season for us up to press. We have been training well with the emphasis on are attitude to defend as a team, and we certainly showed that it is paying off. The area i feel we need to improve on is how to finish teams off and that comes down to game management from the senior players. Its something Dave and i will be working on with are skipper Kris Rads now he is back with us. I feel we let them off the hook a couple of times with wrong decisions and forced passes.
The team played really well and its nice to see the players believing in there ability, a special mention should go to Ryan Smith who was fantastic on sat with 2 trys and several assists, Liam Gannon who has made the left edge his own as a back row forward and will only get better and better in time. My MOM for the second week running was Simon Atherton, i was really impressed with him the week before and i mentioned how he does alot of the little things that people don't see, which he continued again this week along with alot of things people do see, he was fantastic both in defence and attack. Well done fellas keep it up.
We are on the road for 3 weeks now and with 2 trips to Hull its going to be tough, the league is very competitive and that's what makes the challenge so good.
