St Pats won this hard fought game after going behind early to a try from a kick through. St Pats first try came from Jamie Bristo bursting through from 15m out, converted by Sam Leach. Soon after John Atkinson intercepted and raced 90m to score under posts again converted by Leach. Chorley hit back scoring another try from a kick this time a chip to the corner, try was converted. The second half saw St Pats forwards take charge and give a great platform for stand off John Atkinson to show his creative skills, fashioning try's for Sam Leach & Dan Gregory, with Leach converting his own try. Next came the try of the game after powerful runs from props Chris Newton & Steve Ormershaw, Brad Ibbison broke clear from his own half stepped the fullback brilliantly and out paced the cover to score, Leach converted. With the score at 12-28 the it should have been finished off but silly penalties & ball turnovers let Chorley fight back to 22-28 with two late tries. Outstanding for St Pats was loose forward Reece Sedgwich, valiant in attack & defense closley supported by Jamie Bristo & tackling machine Andrew Bennett.
