What is the Members draw?
The draw was set up over 40 years ago to raise funds for the Club. Originally a joint venture with Keswick RUFC and was know as the car draw , with the main prize being a mini car .

What are the prizes?
We have a draw every week of the year (ie:- 52 draws a year) with 40 prizes of £40 and 12 prizes of £100. The Club is committed to increase the number of prizes as the number of contributors grow.

How many members are there?
Our target is to keep the numbers upto 200 and in the 2007/08 season the number of contributors was around 208 which represents tremendous support The number varies month by month as typically a couple of contributors will drop out for a variety of reasons but new contributors join up.

How much does it cost?
The cost is £26 per year or £6.50 , 3 monthly (equates to 50 pence per week) and includes social membership , payable either by cash , cheque or standing order. The receipts from these contributions enables us to make a sizeable contribution to the Wigton Sporting club funds. Rugby , Squash , Cricket , Hockey or Football can be nominated to benefit as profits are apportioned to sales . This contribution is warmly welcomed and helps considerably with the Club's many and wide ranging activities.

What does the Club get?
Over half the receipts fund the prizes (£2800) with the remaining going to support the Clubs and last year £2500 was raised. The members draw is recognised as a key contributor to the Club's turnover. The efforts of everyone involved in running the Clubs deserve our support and we wish them every success for this year. In return I know they thank draw participants for their support and look forward to seeing them at their matches.
