Wigton's Theo Manihera is in action on Saturday for Sedbergh School as they look to retain their unbeaten status.

Sedbergh play their final 15 aside game of the season tomorrow and to date they have played 14 and won 14. After Christmas the school moves to playing 7 aside rugby so if they win tomorrow it will be a great grand slam achievement.

Theo, son of Tane Manihera (who's played a bit of rugby in his time) and Grandson of ex- Wigton, Cumbria and England representative Keith Warwick, was studying at Wigton's Nelson Thomlinson School when he was offered a 2 year sports scholarship to attend 6th form at Sedbergh.

He has been a regular feature in the Sedbergh team who last season won the National Schools Sevens tournament. Still with the Falcons academy he has a great future ahead of him and it's hoped he will pull on the the Green jersey of Wigton again before long - maybe even in the Students match at Christmas!

In their last two outings Sedbergh have narrowly claimed victories winning 12-10 and then 8-6 earlier this week. Tomorrow they take on Llandovery college where they will hopefully complete the season with another win - and maybe even some more points on the board for Theo! We wish them all the best.
