Coach Brown adds his thoughts after a frustrating weekend for Wigton!

Another disappointing weekend in terms of results with defeats for the 3 senior sides - the race is on for the team to break their 'duck' first!

Another challenging two days Thursday/ Friday for team managers juggling limited resources but again ensuring we got two squads on the park (not happening everywhere currently).

1st XV
Lost 25 - 40 and for the second week running played their best rugby in the first 10 and the closing 20 minutes of the game but, ultimately had too much to do chasing a 8 - 30 deficit after 60 minutes.

Promising debut for Fly Half Will Greenwell and inspirational workout for M O M Andrew Brown. (Full 'Penners' report to follow).

Next week on the road to New Brighton, who, after two opening defeats themselves, proved to be too streetwise for Penrith taking the game 14 - 12.

Wanderers XV
The knock down from 1st XV selection left the Wanderers travelling with an inexperienced XV. They battled bravely against a combative and creative Millom outfit losing by 5 - 70 .

M O M performance in defence from Harry Twentyman and a try for Fian Clark. Next up Netherhall at home.

Colts XV
On the road to Percy Park after a noon departure following a good training run out on Tuesday and a midweek workout with a Zebras squad.

Lost 24 - 12 but the lads were competitive throughout the game (HT 12-7 ). Tries came from Steven Rumney and Brad Bouch with a Sam Harrison conversion. M O M was well earned by Brad Bouch with dispatches for Josh Leeson and Logan Ross. Next week Westoe at home.
