Colts Coordinator Richard Pamdore steps down

Three years ago today young Richard Padmore started his coaching journey as he began his ECB Level 2 Coaching qualification on behalf of Wilburton CC. At last weeks AGM Richard 'Scoob' Padmore made it public that due to work commitments he is forced to leave his role with the colts section at the club, but will continue to play for the men's teams.

Scoob steps out on a high as he was the winner of Cricket East Youth Coach of the Year, which covers the area's of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Huntington and parts of Suffolk. He then went on to qualify for the National Youth Coach of the Year in which he placed Runner Up. A fantastic achievement for anyone and one that in unparalleled at the Piece Ground.

Richard is handing the reigns over with the colts in a more than healthy position. With over 40 youngsters in the set up and a thriving U11 team that finished in a remarkable 2nd place, there is sure to be a bright future for the youth in Wilburton to follow the pathway into the three men's teams.

The club would like to publicly thank Richard for all of his efforts in offering such a great cricket provision to those in the Wilburton area, you have truly inspired many through our sport.
