The Oaktrees are delighted to announce the signings of Matt Footman and George Marsh, both on free signings after their previous clubs Leverington and Littleport folded in previous years. Both have been training with the club over the pre-season period and have settled in well with the squad.

Footman joins after playing alongside Oaktrees in the past. Footman plays his Sunday league trade at Welney Croft CC, alongside current player Ben Shipp. Footman impressed currently Captain Tom Walker whilst playing alongside him for Welney last year. Footman struck over 600 runs for the side last season showing his steady but lethal temperament with the bat.

George Marsh joins the already long list of players making the switch from Port to Burton. Marsh has enjoyed two seasons keeping in Junior 1 and has showed a destructive ability with the bat. Marsh joins the already young squad and will look to develop his game further with the side.

Both players should be available for selection in the clubs first pre-season match on the 28th April a week today, the first and last opportunity for the fans to see their new faces in action before the season starts.
