the visitors were first to press and hit a post as early as the third minute when a flicked shot glanced Jordan Ellis' left hand post on three minutes. It was quiet until The Lockmen had their first passage of play on 18 minutes when Dean Humpage played a long ball that allowed Jan Trapszo to chase, turn two men inside out before firing straight at Sports keeper Sam Pearson. Sports attacked a minute later when visiting skipper Craig Stevens forced Ellis into a fine save, tipping his effort over before Mattie Hearsey hit a post shortly after. The Reds hit back midway through the half when Trapszo broke and fed strike partner Kyle Parchment, whose cross saw Harry Ricjus' volley blocked on the line before the danger was cleared. Rickus went close again on 27 minutes when he saw his poswerful effort well pushed away by Pearson. Hearsey then threatened at the other end, Ellis doing well to tip his shot behind for a corner two minutes on. Trapszo again broke for the hosts, and again he fed Parchment, only to see a weak strike go straight at the keeper. On 33 minutes Willenhall won a corner, taken by Matt Dorgan. His first effort was cleared back to him, his second attempt found Reece Leek 15 yards from goal, he fired towards the top corner but again Pearson did well to claw the ball out for a corner. Another three followed immediately as Willenhall kept up the pressure. However, it all counted for nothing as Jack Moor was well positioned to fire home after a defensive slip three minutes to half-time. There was still time for Trapszo to again be denied before the break and also for him to fire inches wide with another fierce effort.

Willenhall made a couple of changes at the break with Danico Johnson and Josh Edwards replacing an injured Harry Rickus and out of sorts Kyle Parchment. The Lockmen were denied a way back into the game three minutes after half-time when a defender controlled the ball with an outsretched hand and pulled it towards him in order to make good his clearance. The two subs combined to good effect when the former dribbled across goal before setting up the latter to fire inches wide. On 52 minutes Sports stretched their lead with a stunning 35 yard plus strike from Luke Williams which bounced up awkwardly just in front of Ellis and in. Edwards then drew a stunning save again from Pearson after striking from 30 yards himself. A minute beyond the hour and Leek dropped his corner onto the roof of the net. Three minutes on and Edwards saw another shot blocked before Dudley Sports killed the game on 67 minutes. Williams again hit an unbelievable shot from 35yards again which dipped and swerved way over Ellis' head before ending up in the top corner. Moor then broke for the visitors before Ellis made a fine save to deny a goal as e raced through the defence on 69 minutes. Hearsey then latched onto a shocking back-pass from Dorgan and rounded the keeper, luckily for The Reds, Ellis got back to block the effort before the follow up was chipped over. Trapszo won a 75th minute corner which was headed behind for another before Mark Bache cleared Johnson's effort off the line before Johnson jinked past four defenders on 80 minutes before forcing another fine save. Craig Oldfield then saw a free-kick fired straight at Pearson before the fourth goal arrived with three minutes remaining, nobody closed down Craig Stevens and his wonder lob flew high up into the air and dropped in. There was still time for Edwards to be dismissed for a poor tackle after vociferous complaints from the visiting bench, and the game then descended into farce as the Sports bench spent two minutes firing off foul and abusive language at the officials and home fans before the home management team were dismissed for leaving their technical area.
