Registration of Players - Junior Registration

Wilmslow RUFC

Wilmslow RUFC fully complies with RFU regulations for the registration of players. We are particularly focussed on at risk groups, which are young players. The RFU Regulatations are below. At the club Mostyn Williams is the RFU Registrar, with the accountability for execution of regulations Joe Higginson, Chairman of Junior Rugby. (All documents can be downloaded and completed from below).

All registration is undertaken through the leaders of the respective age groups. The form below must be completed and returned to the administrators for the age group prior to playing rugby. RFU registration will be completed by RFU registrar. Our primary registration focus is ensuring we comply fully with RFU regulations to ensure a safe environment to play rugby.

Our main record keeping is through the Pitchero system, a secure and complient system. On registration with Pitchero your e-mail is privided but all other information is controlled by you.

To Pay club subscriptions you can use the on-line facility provided through pitchero (Click here). The transactions are done through Paypay and the club holds by financial records on individuals. When you register you provide permissions for the club to use information for communication purposes only. we respect confidentialty and do NOT provide to ANY third parties.

Alternatively cheques can be paid to your leaders of the age group, who will provide it to Alan Hill,Membership Secreatry.

The only issue not covered by the RFU form, and previously dealt with through an Wilmslow RUFC registration form, is the use of Photographs. Pitchero does NOT share any information on Junior players and all photographs taken and shared by parents can only be accessed by Wilmslow RUFC registered members. We will be finding a way of asking your permission for use of photographs in any other way.

RFU Youth Player Registration Policy
(See RFU Website)

Clubs are now processing their youth player registrations on-line, which means club registrars can access and maintain their registration lists on a regular basis, thus ensuring that all player records are kept up-to-date.

The RFU has produced an On-line Player Registration Guidance Note to give you step-by-step instructions (See document below). Once you have your CRB reference number (take note of the new number) please contact the RugbyFirst support desk on 020 8831 6651, who can issue you with a user name and password. Details of this process are found on the first page of the guidance notes.

It is necessary to download the current Youth Player Registration Form (See link below to download) to register young players as the RFU is no longer producing carbonated registration forms.

Transferring Players

Club registrars are now able to transfer players and this happens in the same way as the adult transfer process. If a player is already registered with a club the new club must submit a Notification of Transfer Form (To be added) to the player’s current club. When registering a player online this form is automatically generated and the new club must print this off and send it to the current club. At this stage the requirement to submit a notification of transfer is seen as a matter of courtesy rather than a regulation. If you are having problems with this facility then please contact the RugbyFirst support desk.

Once the player has been registered the club will be required to keep a copy of this transfer document, together with the other registration documents for a minimum of 12 months.

ID Cards

There is also a template for ID cards which can be printed directly from RugbyFirst. These have now replaced the ID cards originally supplied and we are recommending that clubs laminate these cards once produced.

Once a club has registered a player on RugbyFirst it is not necessary for them to be re-registered with the same club at a later date. He or she is only to be re-registered if he transfers to a new club (retaining his original RFU ID number throughout his playing career). We do however suggest you update his photographic ID at certain points, for example at 13 and 17.

If you require further help with this then please contact your CB who will put you in touch with your CB Youth Registrar.

RFUW Player Registration

All female players aged U17 should be registered with the youth registrars, of which every Constituent Body has one. This is the same process as is for boy’s registration, so please contact the relevant person within your club who is responsible for this.

If your club do not have a boy’s team, please contact your Constituent Body on how to register players.

If you require triplicate forms please contact the person within the club that deals with youth registration.
