As has been their usual way in recent weeks the Colts scrambled for players at the last moment to raise a full side to play Sandbach. It wasn't as chaotic as on some previous occasions as this time there were forwards and backs in recognisable positions, even though some of the players still had to experience playing in an unfamiliar position.

No matter, they settled down after ten minutes or so and looked as though they thoroughly enjoyed scoring seven tries through Sean Street, Steven Marsh, Max Harvey (2), Marcus Dandy, Mark Forsyth and Danny Thomas, younger brother of the Wolves' Jamie. More fun than studying for A Levels.

Sandbach had their moments scoring three tries, one of which was a penalty try for what was ruled to be a high tackle to prevent their winger from going over. They had no answer though when the home side decided to turn on the gas.

Finally, congratulations to hooker Harry Jones and tight head prop Ed Finch on playing for Cheshire U18s against Cumbria at Northwich. The result was a resounding 62-0 win for the Cheshire boys.
