Semi-final victory over Cleckheaton puts Junior Colts into North Shield final

A sunny Mothering Sunday in West Yorkshire was made all the brighter by a 7 try victory for the boys in blue. The scoreline of 26-41 accurately reflected a seesaw game in which both sides enjoyed periods of supremacy. Harry Patch added four tries to his season's tally in a domineering performance from full-back, to bolster a reorganised back line marshalled ably by stand-off for the day, Rob Shotts. Trav "the swerve" Heywood burrowed over for a cheeky try under the posts, Lewis Bundy-Davies went round the outside for his, while Conor "the prodigy" McMurdog rounded off proceedings with a powerful finish in the corner.

Bolstered by a "Team Bucket" at the nearby KFC on the way home, our athletes now head to Bolton for the North final in two weeks time. Before then there's the big Cheshire Cup semi at Chester to keep us fully occupied.
