After Saturday's single goal success as they are now 11 points clear at the top of NW Div 4 with just three games remaining.
The Lakes side are now focusing on trying to remain unbeaten throughout the season as they also prepare to defend the Cumbria Cup.
Lytham played a half-court press with only one player up front and Mere goalkeeper and skipper Andrew Darling never actually touched the ball as the visitors showed little interest in crossing the half-way line.
Windermere were forced to be patient and to try to get round the back of Lytham's massed ranks, and it was late in the first half before they achieved their breakthrough. Josh Landmann found Matthew Hartnett, who beat two defenders before slipping the ball to Tom Dolman who finished with a finely judged bottom corner strike.
Lytham stayed in their defensive shell for the rest of the match but Mere could not get a second goal, despite going close through Will Dolman, Harry Jackson and Rob Green.
Matthew Hartnett was voted Man of the Match.
