Park and Wirral agreed to play a two games on Sunday, a full match followed by a development/training game.

The main match finished 0-0 but that doesn't tell the full story; it was a great game of rugby, and was thoroughly enjoyed by the large crowd watching the boys make their debut on the first team pitch.

Both sides played some excellent rugby but the defences were outstanding, preventing any scoring.

Team;
Jacob Highett, Sam Bytheway(captain), James Norman, Callum Harrison, James Metcalfe, Olly Ayre, Matthew Hand, Josh Roche, Ross Hodgkinson, Mike Luty, Toby Lawrence, Max Pearson, George Barron, James Hayes-Clarke, Finlay Quinn.

For the training match, we made a number of changes, both in players and in positions giving everybody some game time and experimenting with boys in new positions.
Wirral were less affected than Park by the changes made, and as Park struggled to adapt and with players forgetting to do the basic skills, were able to run in 5 tries.

Well done to Wirral, but plenty of things for the Park coaches to think about.
