Martin was a genuine, larger than life character who brought a wealth of fun and happiness to all who were fortunate enough to know him. Martin was a coach, cheerleader, enthusiastic supporter and long time friend of the U15's squad and we, coaches, parents, players and friends are all richer for the good times we shared together.
All of our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt wishes go out to Giz, Laura and Jack at this time.
Martin's funeral is at 12.00 noon on Saturday the 28th July at Walton Lea Crematorium and will be followed by a celebration of his life, at the rugby club.
Flowers will be from the family only and we request that all donations be made to St Luke's hospice (there will be the opportunity to do this at the service).
Martin wanted this day to be a party and accordingly we ask anyone planning on attending to wear rugby shirts and bright colours - this is not a day for black clothes and sad faces. We want to send off the big man in the best way we can, with a big smile and warmth in our hearts.
