Junior Coaching Open to All
During 2013 we will be holding junior coaching sessions which are open to anyone aged between 8 and 15 years of age, regardless of previous cricket experience or ability.
The sessions will commence on Friday May 3rd from 18:30 until 19:45 at Winterbourne Cricket Ground, and will run every Friday thereafter until further notice.
As this is the first time Winterbourne has tried to establish a junior section, we need to build up enough numbers to be able to play some friendly games, with the aim of playing competitive cricket at various age groups in 2014.
If you are currently playing at another club and wish to move to Winterbourne, you are welcome to come to the coaching sessions even if you carry on playing matches at your current club.
The cost of the Friday sessions will be £2 to cover equipment and coach training/first aid costs.
Anyone wishing to take part should email Carlie Forsyth, our junior co-ordinator, so we know numbers in advance. Carlie's email address is carlieforsyth@hotmail.co.uk.
If you can't make all the sessions that's fine, just come to whichever ones you can. The sessions will be run by qualified coaches and our child welfare officer will also be present. We would encourage parents to stay and make use of the bar facilities which will be open throughout the evening.
