It's only 9 weeks until Xmas, so here are a few dates for your diary....

Yes it's only weeks away, so before you get swept up in all that festive malarkey we thought we should advise you of the events coming up between now and the New Year.

Please remember that for all events in the St Michael's Pavilion you will need to park in the school during the winter months. Or better still, walk up and enjoy a beer with friends.

FRI OCT 31st - Club social. The bar will be open to celebrate Halloween. No need to come in fancy dress, although if you want to mark All Hallows' Eve by sticking a pumpkin on your head, feel free. We'll certainly be bobbing for apples. Bring a towel, you will get wet. Bar opens 7:30 pm.

FRI NOV 21st - WCC AGM. The bar will again be open for the AGM. Please can all members make the effort to attend, the AGM does not take long but important decisions are taken regarding the new season so it is in everyone's interest to play a part. Meeting starts promptly at 7:00pm, afterwards the bar will stay open all evening so please come and catch up with your mates and enjoy a drink at the end of the working week.

FRI NOV 28th - QUIZ NIGHT - Attention all trivia fans - club brainbox Nick Crane is hosting a quiz for club members. This always proves popular with all sections of the club so please get your team of four up together and let Liz know by email that you want to enter. We expect another sell out so get in quick!

SUN DEC 7th - WCC XMAS DRINKS - All club members are invited to meet under the mistletoe from 3pm to 6pm and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. There's sure to be some Slade on offer (not everyone's cup of tea, I grant you) and there will be a special prize for the best festive jumper.

There will be further events in the New Year, but in the meantime get the above in your Filofax - and don't be a stranger.
