Chairman Dave Crowder welcomes First team manager Lee Danysz and vice Chair Wayne Turtle welcomes u19 manager Stef Wolkowski

Chairman Dave Crowder in welcoming the new management team describes it as a new beginning with the emphasis on developing local talent, giving aspiring footballers windows of opportunity to develop their skills and achieve their personal goals.

To enable this to happen Rangers have also introduced for the first time in its history an under 19 men’s youth team, under the management of local Winterton lad Stefan Wolkowski

We believe that the long term future of Rangers lies within the surrounding community, with their support and the development of local male football talent we hope to create a thriving community club.

First of all I hope that you will all give me, Alan Whitnall (assistant manager) and the new squad of
players all your support along with constructive criticism which is always appreciated. On a playing side we are working hard to get local talent back to the club along with a few faces from other areas that have the experience and knowledge of the NCEL who I feel will help bring on the younger players. Having an under 19’s team is also good as it helps us bring them into the 1st team and give them good experience which they can take back with them to the 19’s and apply that and hopefully they can then make the step up into the 1st team. It’s a new era at Winterton and a big rebuilding process as all of the existing squad have left to follow the old management, but that does enable us to put our own stamp on the club and as mentioned bring in more local players.
Supporters deserve to be entertained and see players giving everything they have, game in and game out, and teams of mine always give 100% as hard work is one trait I demand every time they take the field. Players will be announced shortly after the 1st July signing on date has opened, as only contract players can sign earlier of which none shall be at the club this year. Winterton Rangers is a huge club with a good footballing history, of which I would like to add too, but with the correct structure off the field being parallel to what's on the field. I demand players who wear the Winterton shirt, wear it with pride and there reason for wanting to be at the club has to be the correct reason. The days of the gravy train to West Street are no more whilst I'm at the club as squad sizes used over a season is well over 40 for lots of clubs which is ridiculous, with sides changing week after week with supporter’s not knowing player’s names more often than not. I would like everyone involved at the club, to buy into this new ethos on and off the field, as not many clubs have the opportunity to change as when they decide to, it’s often too late...
