The Rugby World Cup 2015 is in the England and the RFU & IRB are looking for volunteers to help the organisers with a number of tasks on the days before a match and during a match in the same way as the Olympics 2012. There is one match to be played in the North-West, at Old Trafford, and that will be England vs. a qualifier and although you won’t be pitch-side this is an opportunity to help out during this massive event – the third largest televised event in the world.
The tasks you will work on will be based around the following options but, unfortunately, you won’t be pitch-side or on the bench. However, this is a big opportunity to be part of one of the greatest sporting events in the world.
There is a simple application process and you will be asked to attend a “try-out” to be held in Manchester later in the year where you will go through a series of interviews and assessments and, if successful, be offered a volunteer position complete with a load of “stash” for the game.
We need three volunteers, one from the mini & juniors, one from the senior section and another as a back-up. Applications close on 17th April so if you’re interested and need more information or if
you feel you would like to volunteer please contact Neil Ivory (07979-601823 or tinlegs1959@gmail.com) if you’re a senior or Bev McCann (bev_mccann@hotmail.co.uk) if you’re in the minis & juniors for more information. There are some restrictions however:
