This game is now CANCELLED. the groundsman at Leverhulme phone me Friday morning saying that the square is under water and he cant prepare a wicket. So, its beyond our control, sorry.

Their first team are playing home I believe. Also, teas would be an issue otherwise i think it could have been done. the first team game must be in doubt as it has rained on and off this morning. i havent known a season like this (at the start anyway). 2007 was bad when we got going but we DID get going. maybe, and this is only a maybe, why cant some players get together and play on the artificial track as a knock about as i think the outfield/ground down there is usually good...if there are enough players?
Appologies if this is incorrect or not possible, but could we not play Saughall on the artificial wicket? Still technically a home fixture?
Beamo u can't play league games on artificial only friendlies unfortunately!
The knock about seems like a good idea and another opportunity to get our 'eye in' with both bat and ball. I would be up for it. Nick
