As many of you have now heard, WYFC were crowned Sussex Sports Club of the Year 2016 at the Active Sussex Sports Awards on Friday 25th November at The Grand Hotel, Brighton.

We are absolutely delighted that our community efforts, coach / player development and being an inclusive have not gone unnoticed.

This topped a really good year and follows on from our Sussex FA Charter Standard Club of the Year 2016 award in the summer.

We should also mention:

Stuart Collier - who was runner up in the Volunteer of the Year category. Stuart is our club secretary, child welfare officer and U16 girls manager. He spends many of his own time helping run the club.

Danielle Lewis-Collins - who was runner up in the Coach of the Year category for her fabulous work for netball in Sussex. Danielle is joint chairman of this club but runs a successful netball academy and teams.

We would like to thank you for your support. We were up against some tough opposition, namely, Steyning Town FC, who are a first class community football club with first class playing facilities and Fast Step Badminton Academy, who are a high performing badminton academy based in central Sussex.
