Match Preview

This Sunday sees the opening round of the ladies NC 3 South West (West) league. In this first challenge of the season, we welcome Cullompton Ladies II to Raleigh Park in what we expect to be an exciting opening game!

The ladies will be meeting more familiar faces in this newly reformed league, with most of the games remaining within Devon alongside a couple of trips to Cornwall to play Camborne & Truro. The ladies have also entered into the Papa Johns Cup, with the first game against Wiveliscombe coming up on the 1st October. More about that closer to the time.

Back to this weekend’s opening fixture and it’s just the second meeting between ourselves and Cully’s second XV, with our last (and only) meeting back in December of 2021.

We look forward to welcoming the ladies from Cullompton back to Raleigh Park for what will be a good challenging match for the ladies to get their season underway!

We have been fortunate enough to welcome some new faces to our ladies team during preseason and are excited to see two of those members, Lilly-May & Tanya, take to the field on Sunday. Go well girls and welcome to the Withy family! Our two new players join with an experienced side to field a full side of 19 players ready for round one…

Sunday’s game kicks off at 2:30pm at Raleigh Park. We’d love to see you all there cheering the ladies on as they look to get their season off to a winning start! The clubhouse and bar will be open, and we’ll also be showing the World Cup matches on the big screen!
