The first two months of the 2014/15 season has really given us a taste of reserve team management. Struggling to get a squad together when we travelled to face Team Brantham and then travelling down to Harwich & Parkeston on a Tuesday night with enough players to put out two teams!

We have been able to give the likes of Luke Goldie-McSorely, Joe Heron, Marley and Marcus Spindler minutes, whilst allowing young players such as Matt Griffin and Connor Worrow an opportunity to showcase their talent. This works well for everybody as it gives players match fitness and an opportunity to learn off of one another.

We kick off our season on Saturday 6th September away to Stowmarket Town with our first home fixture at home to Stanway Rovers on Saturday 13th September in the Chell Trophy. So if your not heading to Walsham to cheer on the first team why not head down to the Maple Tree Cars Stadium to cast an eye on a Wivenhoe Town reserve team full of plenty of youth and potential.
