Ben Pullen previews a big weekend of Easter Football. Wivenhoe Town v Thetford Town and FC Clacton v Wivenhoe Town

A warm welcome to everyone and first of all I would like to wish everyone happy Easter.

Saturday sees the visit of Thetford Town to the Maple Tree Cars Stadium. They are currently sitting in 16th place and are only four points ahead of the Dragons. The old cliché of "a six pointer" really springs to mind when looking at Saturday’s game. I was very kindly sent a possible team sheet in the week and it’s nice to see a consistent line up. We may well be welcoming back Peter Mania into the side and the only person who maybe absent is Reece Keating.

On to the game and the stats suggest the last time we scored in the league was on the 7th March at home to Ipswich Wanderers in the 22nd minute. This means it is now 338 minutes since we have scored, on the plus side we have not coincided too many. Thetford have lost their last three games and only scored one goal. I'm sure if the bookies were pricing up this game they would not take any bets on a 0-0.

As you can see I have not mentioned a certain game that takes place on Monday as we need to focus on Saturday's game. A certain Bill Shankely once said "some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you it's much more important than that "!

Kick off at the Maple Tree Cars Stadium, Broad Lane is 3pm on Saturday. I would urge everyone to come and support the lads as the vocal support of that elusive 12 man can be the difference. It’s only £6 for adults and hot food is available and the bar will be open.

Hope to see you up there!!
