A better size squad numbers wise for this 2nd friendly, but it was still a bit lopsided as we lacked attacking options so Gilo continued to deputise on the wing.

We started very brightly and took the lead inside 10 minutes as Ash set Gilo away and his deflected cutback fell to Grouty who turned and planted a clinical finish into the corner.

Our early dominance continued, but Luca was denied by a smart save and Grouty hit the bar.

After 25 minutes we had to take Luca (who had been getting real joy on the left) off and we lost our way a bit, especially after Oli went off with a head injury.

Egham grew into the game, but couldn't create a clear chance.

The 2nd half saw us continue to create chances, but in similar fashion to the first friendly our final ball and finish was not on point.

Our visitors gave us a good run out and got themselves into some good areas, but only really had one guilt edged chance that their striker blazed over.

In the end we got a 2nd with 7 minutes remaining. Coxy (I think) spread the play to Luca and he cut inside 3 Egham defenders before seeing his shot find the bottom corner via a slight deflection.

It was a deserved win, but we are a little bit off where we want to be sharpness wise. We have 3 training sessions and one further friendly before the season kicks off on September 9th so hopefully we will have a more balanced squad by then.
