A game of 2 halves

Wollaton travelled away to current champions selston with 4 key players missing but from the off they showed why they were unbeaten this season . After a bright start wollaton took the lead after Jordan Alls was brought down in the area and just before the half hour mark wollaton took the lead . There was some terrible tackles flying in from a very wreckless selston side who obviously didn't want to be beaten after suffering defeat at our home ground at the end of last season . Half time wollaton 1 selston 0 .
This is where it all changed it what can only be described as a wollaton mass exodus , selston somehow managed to fool the referee into awarding 3 penalties on the trot in the spate of 15 minutes which also the dismissal of wollatons keeper Rikki turner . This had a massive impact on the normally steady defence which showed in there performance after this . Eventually ending up 5 1 to selston .
Wollaton will bounce back off of this and the return leg I'm sure will be a different affair at home where we still remain unbeaten for 12 months . I will say this though that if the big players don't turn up in a game where it s needed then this will happen again and again which is not what we all signed up for .
