Last year more than half a dozen Wolverines joined forces with nearby neighbours the Birmingham Bears and the Birmingham University Sharks to form the West Midlands Wolves in order to compete at the 2011 Brit Cup.
The young squad surpassed all expectations by reaching the final of the competition in their first run out as a squad, only to lose to the experienced Nottingham Scorpions in the final.
This year the clubs are hoping to go one better and lift the coveted trophy that in previous years has been dominated by teams from London.
At least two joint training sessions will be held with the Birmingham Bears, the first of these being on Tuesday 19 June at Selly Park, Birmingham. These will allow West Mids and Birmingham coach Dave Veale to select a side and get them working together before the big day.
The second session will be hosted by the Wolverines on Thursday 28 June, beginning at 7pm. Stay posted for squad updates and more news on th eWest Midlands representative side for the Brit Cup 2012.
