Potential to be realised?

With the new season only a few weeks away, can WMCC finally realise their potential and start moving on up?

1st XI

With a new skipper and vice in place, out with the old and in with the new. TGW takes over aided by Tonka, with 4 new signings secured, WMCC 1st XI will be looking at improving on last season and gaining promotion to division 2.

New Signings

Scott Jaggar - opening bowler with real pace, backs himself to rip through division 3

Danny Ravenscroft - signing from local rivals Dearne, Danny is an alrounder with plenty of potential.

Stewart Wilson - returning to WMCC, opening batsmen Stu is also rapid in the field

Tom Sheffield - new to the area, Tom is another alrounder who will give TGW plenty of options.

Unfortunately Joe will not be available this season due to work commitments, but we are sure he will show his face plenty of times throughout the season.

There must have been something in the water at the club, as we are expecting 3 new arrivals before the start of July, Kev, Rich and Ross all adding to the clubs members. Whether they play a full part of the season, only time will tell.

Danny H is another who may have to play a bit part due to a promotion at work, but will play when he can.

Former skipper Bond will be fresh and ready to resume his assault on division 3 after a relaxing winter. Last season most improved, Nathan will be looking at continuing where he left off and Pecky will no doubt be like a coiled string come 16th April..

2s

After a change at the top at the end of last season, Matty Sewell had to step down so former skipper Craig took back the reigns of the 2s, with 4 new signings to the 1s, this could only bolster the 2s and add to a very confident squad.

Both teams are focusing on promotion and a decent cup run, but only time will .
