WOODBANK CC 2016 CRICKET SEASON - ANNUAL SUBS AND FEES

To all Club members

Following this week’ Committee meeting it was unanimously decided for a number of reasons to change the format of annual subs and match fee’s. From this year forward it was decided that one sum of money will cover the annual subs and match fees. This concept is nothing new amongst sports club and is something that is proving very successful elsewhere. Last year the cost of annual subscriptions was £50 with a match fee of £8. The match fee has not changed in over 8 years and as such this is something to which the club cannot sustain in the present financial climate and an increase would have been required.

It was therefore decided that the season 2016 the cost for subs will be £210 for a senior playing member payable in two instalments the first being 31st March with the second by the 15th June and the weekly match fee being abolished. This in effect could represent a saving of five match fees over the previous system if a member was to play every game of the season. Furthermore the committee decided that this annual fee will also include the provision of a new playing shirt, with our new sponsors logo on it, for each paid up member.

The same concept will apply for junior members whereby the subs will also include a playing shirt. For those juniors who are playing senior cricket the annual fee will be £140. Juniors who represent the club at their respective level will pay an annual fee of £35. The under 11’s and juniors not representing the club will pay £20.

We understand that for a number of reason this may not prove cost effective to some players for various reasons ( injuries, not selected etc) therefore each player will be assessed as to their circumstances prior to the second payment.

This is a simplistic view of how the system will work and as a committee we understand that some people may have difficulty in paying lump sums of £105, to this end please discuss any concerns over payments with the club chairman, vice chairman or cricket chairman, who will provide a solution for all concerned.
