Under 15s - Team News

Lots of News

Part 2 of the Haslingden tournament was called off due to waterlogging but has been rearranged for the 21st.
After initial doubts I am pleased to say that we have the numbers to put a team in on that date.
Tournament squad from : Alex,Mitch,Sam,Tom,Jack,James,Billy,David,Ben,Danny,Owen,Joe&Aqib

The quality of the squad has been recognised as 3 of the lads have been selected for the Rossendale Schools Town Team. Congratulations & good luck to Ryan,Ben & Jordan. Only down side is that the town team play on Saturday mornings so we potentially face losing 3 lads for up to 8 games this season.

But we have a big enough squad to copy. Aqib is the latest and last player to sign up. A lad who hasn't played before, he really is a rare find - a gem with lots of raw potential. And a striker to boot. He makes his debut in next weeks tournament.

Finally the U15 league is taking shape for next season. 7 teams out and 5 in leaves a total of 30 teams at our age group.
Provisionally, the lads have been placed in the middle of 3 divisions together with ; Whitworth,Elton & W,Marauders,Oldham R, Bury N E, Seedfield,Beechfield Utd,Prestwich Town & Chadderton Juniors.
So after the tribulations of the last 12 months it looks like the lads have been given a deserved break. Although they remain in the A Division, it has more of a B Division feel. The lads had some good games at the end of last season against 5 of the teams ; they are joined by our old nemesis Whitworth, Oldham and 3 new teams to the league.
An ideal division to blood the 4 new lads.

Elsewhere, we miss 2 derby games as Rammy Utd have been placed in the Prem ; and after 3 years in the wilderness, Ross Utd Lads find themselves back in the NBJFL in Div B

I cannot wait. But first we will have a break before the pre season friendly games start on August 15. We start with Pendle Forest, before playing Clitheroe Wolves, Mill Hill Boys, Rossendale Valley, Droylsden & Valley Dynamos, before the season starts on Sept 8.

Happy holidays!
