So we thought it would be a good idea to have bit of fitness and fun skills session to blow a few of the cobwebs out, remind us what this whole Rugby thing is all about, always a difficult thing to do over the Summer as many people are not available due to holidays and general other commitments so thanks very much to those who were able to make it (would have been very lonely otherwise).
We started with a Rugby related circuit, paired where possible parent and child, 6 stations 45 seconds a hit, driven mercilessly by our PT instructor Sarn't Major Giddens, a couple of circuits was enough to show, that for most of the adults at least, it was much needed gauge of our fitness levels (still from such a low base my improvements should be astounding).
Next up we have a few rounds of kick tennis, dominated I believe by the Giddens boys, however, quite pleasingly, a couple of the less able kickers improved markedly through the session.
Lastly we had a game of touch on a roughly marked out pitch, lots of running about, passing, trys being scored etc. good fun and some good skils on show.
Thanks again to all who were able to make it
