After the disappointment of the loss against Moorside, Woodhouses proved they were ready to bounce back.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first against a strong Glodwick side, Woodhouses first pairing of Lewis Wood and Thomas Reeves set about the Glodwick bowling attack putting on 20 but were reigned in with the loss of 2 wickets. The next pairing of Adam Carrol and Adan Khaliq again set about the bowling, showing some great stroke play but again being pegged back losing 3 wickets.
Into the mix came Ethan Shackley and Sam Jacques, setting about the bowlers and scoring an unbeaten 28 without loss and Sam top scoring with 17.
Captain Josh Wadsworth and debutant Asan showed great patience finishing off the innings using the gaps left by Glodwick fielders hugging the boundary to score valueable singles and putting on 11 with the loss of 1 wicket.
The bowling and fielding display didn't disappoint either. Glodwick struggled to make headway with the excellent bowling and tight fielding restricting Glodwick to minus figures until the 12th over. The last Glodwick pairing did attack the bowling in the last 2 overs but by then the game was over.
Sam Jacques topped a man of the match performance with 2 wickets and Adam carrol taking the other 2 wickets but all in all this was superb all round team performance.
