Ossett Town 0-4 Woodley Sports FC

Woodley Sports made the trip over to Yorkshire on a bitterly cold night looking to get back to winning ways. With the weekends match postponed at Prescot tonight was the first action for over a week and you could certainly see from all the players they were ready to go and the attitude was spot on.

If there was ever a match to show everyone watching how to control, dominate and command a game of football Tuesday night did just that. Woodley started the game the brighter and soon went ahead with John Hunt heading in his first goal for the Club, this lead to total domination of the match with almost all the possession and territory it was just a matter of time before the goals went in.

John Marsden got himself on the scoresheet with a nice finish to send us 2-0 ahead at the break, it could quite easily have been more but credit the Ossett defence for holding out.

Almost immediately after the break Jordan Stepien added a 3rd goal which certainly killed all hopes of Ossett getting themselves back in the game. The final goal of the night was Marsden's 2nd with 10mins to go giving Woodley Sports a 4-0 win and a much needed confidence boost heading into this weekends game at Home against local rivals Curzon Ashton.
