Woodley Sports 2-1 Wakefield FC

Woodley Sports battled through a tough game at home against Wakefield FC and recorded a much needed 2-1 win.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Woodley hit back immediately after half time with Brad Maylett bringing the scores level. The game dominated by the Steelmen it was Wakefields keeper who has to be credited with some fine saves to keep the scoreline level throughout the second half.

Going into the last ten minutes, Woodley pushing on for the winner it eventually came through Joey Holt scoring his first goal for the club.

The first win of 2012 was much needed and with many games called off due to frozen pitches this was the perfect chance to close the gap on the teams at the top.
