A really tight game with very little between the two teams. Woolston’s defence was a little slow off the line. At this age one plsyer can make all the difference and this proved to be the case as Blackbrook had one outstanding player who exploited the slow line speed and scored three of their four tries.

Cadishead Rhinos U11s 22 – 16 Woolston Rovers U11s

A much improved Rovers performance saw two equally matched teams go head to head. Woolston showed some excellent attacking play with strong running and good support play while Tyler Kelly and Ellis Cripps led the way in defence.

Woolston Rovers U10s 12 – 0 Langworthy Reds U10s

Woolston started the game well with a strong defence and good attack leading to tries for Jack Darbyshire 2 and Ben Hickman. Unfortunately the game was stopped early due to a suspected neck injury to a Langworthy player. Happily the young player has been cleared and sent home to recover.

Woolston Rovers U9s 1 -2 Thatto Heath Crusaders U9s

Played in dreadful conditions on Saturday afternoon, a strong defensive display made Thatto work hard for the win.
