The future rugby league stars take to the pitch each Sunday.

Wigan St Cuths U13s 10 - 16 Woolston U13s Greens

An excellent defensive effort led to a superb win for the Under 13s Greens against a tough opposition, with tries from Connor Wrench (2) and Liam Chriscoli.

There were excellent debuts for new boys Jamie Phillips and Dylan Wright - both playing their very first games of competitive rugby league.

Opposition man of the match was Theo Dutton and top tackler was Jack Fitzsimon.

The boys play next at home on Sunday 12th July in the quarter finals of the NWC Cup against Langworthy Reds.

Ashton Bears U13s 20 - 14 Woolston Rovers U13s Golds

Today was definitely a game of two halves.

At half time Woolston looked superb. Aggressive tackles, great defensive line speed and great attacking shape. To be honest, the game looked very one sided, with the golds leading at the break 6 - 14.

But the second half was an entirely different game, with our players looking very lack lustre.

There were some great performances, but it takes a team to win a rugby league match.

Tries were scored by Jumah Sambou x 2 and Morgan Bolton. Billy Pope kicking a conversion.

Awards went to:
Man of the match: Billy Pope
Opposition Man of the Match: Jumah Sambou
Top tackler: Jumah Sambou
Coaches Award: Josh Fowler
