Woolston Rovers proved once again last Monday that they are at the forefront in ensuring the safety of all their players

when they held a Head Injuries Workshop at the University of Chester Warrington Campus.

The workshop, that was run by the RFL’s Andy Lindley and arranged with the help of Warrington Wolves Head of Youth Phil Jones, was attended by over forty Rovers players, coaches and parents from all of the clubs age groups.

On the evening Lindley gave a presentation to explain the risks of concussion and other head injuries and gave advice on the best way to prevent any serious consequences by informing everybody of the potential signs of any evidence of trauma to the head and how to deal with any issues that do occur.

A Rovers spokesperson said, “It was a very informative evening and everybody in attendance was unanimous in agreeing that it was very worthwhile. We say a very big thank you to Andy Lindley for taking the time to come down and give the presentation to us and also to Phil Jones with his help in organising it. We are very proud of the pro-active way that we address crucial issues at the club; the welfare of our players is of the utmost importance.
