Subject: DWRFU/RFU adult player recruitment and leisure rugby program coupled with coach ed planning

All,

I would like to invite your club to attend a meeting to plan a recruitment and leisure rugby program over this year’s world cup. The main framework will be around a series of social 12-a-side evening fixtures played at local venues. The focus will be on social rugby players and provide a vehicle to offer game time to new players, returning players, and those students stepping into senior rugby for the first time. There will also be the opportunity to develop new officials, coaches, and volunteers.

At the same time Gavin Williams will be available to plan the provision of coach education on a local level specific to the needs of the group of clubs in your area.

I would suggest potential attendees would be:

CCC – 2nd and/or 3rd Team Captain – Colts Head Coach – Senior Committee Rep/Playing manager etc

I am planning 3 groupings to ensure travel time is kept to the minimum – however I will wait to see the take up of interest in the project before we decide venues and groupings.

Probable dates for meetings are – 4th/25th/27th July 1st/3rd August they would be a 19:00 start and be over by 20:30

If your club is interested in this event please could you reply to me with the names/volunteer positions of those who would like to attend and whether you would be happy to host the meeting or not.
