Bassett were looking to get back into winning ways after strong performances in the last two games. The game started with both teams attacking their respective D’s, the possession was equal. A great save from Paul Warren meant that West Wilts could not take the lead from a 3rd minute short corner. In the 5th minute Bassett attack and took the lead when Jake Nunns scored a reverse hit. Bassett then had a chance in the 10th minute to extend their lead when they were awarded a short corner, although the original effort was defended, Mark Turner followed up to make it 2-0. In the 15th minute the home team managed to pull one back, after this there was a succession of short corners from both teams, however these were defended well. In the 29th minute Bassett increased their lead when Kyle Barnes scored, and the gap was made even bigger in the 31st minute after Jake Nunns scored his second. Straight after this however, in the 32nd minute, West Wilts scored from a short corner. The first half ended with the score being 4-2.

The second half started very much as the first did; however Bassett scored a 43rd minute goal when Kyle Barnes scored his second. West Wilts were trying to apply pressure to close the gap, they did this after a couple of short corners were awarded, resulting in a 57th minute goal. Bassett then responded with two quick goals in the 60th and 61st minute when Kyle Barnes scored another two. At this point West Wilts were 7-3 down, they managed to apply more pressure, with two late goals coming in the 67th and 69th minute, they could have scored more if it wasn’t for some great defending from Paul Warren and his backline. The game ended 7-5.
