On a foggy Sunday morning, 11 man Bassett travelled to Bath. After most players playing on the Saturday, Bassett expected a tough game. Bassett began the stronger side controlling possession, with several early opportunities. Bassett's pressure created the first goal of the game, Rob White ball into the D found Anthony Matthews who slapped the ball hard into the corner from an acute angle. Bassett maintained the control over the game and were awarded a penalty flick for a foul on Rob White. Pete Sammon stepped up to convert the P flick. Bassett could have extended their lead further with chances for Matt Jakuebiec, Rob White and Pete Sammon. Bath kept battling and forced a way back into the game as a one man run found its way past the defence and saw a powerful shot beat Jack Rose. Bassett were unlucky not to score any more in the first half of which they were totally dominant.

The second half told the story of a much closer game and reflected the score line. Bath equalised quickly and then moments later took the lead away from Bassett. Bassett were now up against it as players were tiring and Bath took advantage of their substitutes. Some good battling from some of the Bassett players created further chances. In the final minutes a tiring Bassett created the equaliser through Pete Sammon to complete a hard fought draw.
