City in The Community

The City in the Community Program offers free Coaching in Schools across the Worcester Area. This is part funded by the Football Conference Trust and is for an education program for Key Stage 1 and 2.

If you know of a school that would like to benefit from our free education program please Contact us This part of the City in the Community Scheme is funded via The Football Conference Trust.

As part of the City in the Community scheme, Worcester City FC and Worcester City FC Supporters Trust have actively introduced & promoted Worcester City FC to many local people over the past five seasons which peaked last summer with 18 different events including School Fetes, Church Fetes, School Events and most recently, The Worcester Show.

Although we have funding from the Football Conference Trust, over 90% of the Community initiatives are carried out by dedicated volunteers from the Supporters Trust, helping to promote a positive image for the club.

We also go out to schools for morning assemblies to talk about Football and can work on a theme to fit in with a school message. If you would like us to visit your school, please send us an email as we'll come back to you ASAP.

The Summer of 2015 saw the City in The Community volunteers at lots of School and Community fetes throughout the City.

In October, we took part in the Fortis Living Football Day at The KGV Centre in Worcester.

We also took part in The EIL Football Against Intolerance & Racism Program at The University of Worcester. This was in conjunction with Villa in The Community, The Worcestershire FA, Show Racism The Red Card & The University of Worcester.

On the Thursday before our incredible FA Cup win at The Ricoh Arena, The FA Cup roadshow came to Worcester and Perdiswell Primary School was chosen as the lucky school to have the FA Cup for the morning. Carl Heeley, Matt Gardiner, Ellis Deeney and Georgie Dragon & Rich Widdowson attended the school Assembly and were on hand with the Worcestershire FA for coaching. The School Head Teacher Mr Tilley was lucky enough to hold the FA Cup. This was a memorable day for all involved which was captured on WCFCTV as well as the local media.

All of these events are either run wholly by volunteers or volunteers have helped to run them supporting other Community groups, if you would like to help please contact us.

If you are holding an event & would like your local football club to attend then please contact us
