Georgie Dragon romped home as a winner at Worcester Races yesterday in The Mascot Race, unfortunately it was not the race he won but a prize in The Best Dressed Mascot competition.

With Worcester City FC being described as the "best football team in The City of Worcester" by Channel 4 Racing Commentator Derek Thompson in the parade ring (not at the moment), The Race over 200 yards, went to Spyttle The Dog from Newport County FC.

Georgie came in 6th position behind two Dogs, a Robin and a Chicken but did manage to beat Nile The Crocodile from Worcester Rapids who despite being one of the early favourites, lost his head (literally) in the big dash.

The race was part of Worcester Races Family Fun Day with funds raised going to The Childrens Trust
