1871-World War I
1871 Worcester Rugby Football Club was founded by Rev. Francis John Eld with the first game being played against Worcester Artillery on November 8th 1871, at Somerset Place, subsequently the site of the Flagmeadow Walk ground.
Rev. Francis John Eld formerly curate at Rugby, in 1871 Headmaster at R.G.S., (retired 1892, died 1922)
First recorded victory was over Gloucester College -no score recorded - Worcester won easily.
First season 1871-72, 9 games were played
1875 First recorded AGM, Rev Eld
1875 Kings School Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, and R.G.S., added to the fixture list.
1877 Moseley first played. 3 Worcester players in a representative game, West of England versus United South Wales - Beauchamp, Brown and Cozalzt
1883 Second XV
1891 Midland Counties Cup Worcester lost to Alcester
1892 Midland Counties Cup Worcester beat Nuneaton, but lost to Burton despite fielding an England International J Robinson. Capt. R. G. T. Coventry joined Worcester and was elected Captain.
1893 Club ground moved to Pitchcroft.
1893 Worcester defeated Moseley 10-8
1894
1896 Club disbanded
1908 Club Revived
1910 A.G.M. at the Star Hotel Games played at "Northwick", players changing at the "Northwick Arms" Playing Membership reached 40, Team Colours Light and Dark Blue. Coach Rev Monahan (Surrey County Player and a member of the Irish Selection Board)

1920-1930 Revival after WWI

Date of inaugural meeting published in the local press (look in Berrows Journal) Those responsible for the revival Rev. J. G. Scougal (R.G.S.), Frank Henderson, Fred Turner, Kenneth Foster. Meeting at Crown Hotel.
First Full Season probably 1921-22
The seasons results were as follows
Played 26 Won 12 Lost 14 Drawn 0
With the increase in membership an "A" XV and later a "B" XV were formed, and 1st XV caps were awarded on the recommendation of the Captain.
