Colts played second placed Sutton Coldfield in their final league game on Saturday and came out winners 4 tries to 1.

Worcester Colts played hosts to Sutton Coldfield on Saturday, and turned in their best performance of the season against a side who were lying second in the league.

The Colts, who were unbeaten at home, started with a real bang with vice captain, Keiran Court leading the charge from the kick-off, as he and the Worcester pack drove their bigger opponents back towards their own line. Worcester kept applying relentless pressure and were rewarded for their fierce rucking and tackling with three penalties within the first fifteen minutes, two of which were converted by inside centre Ally Duddell. These early penalties gave the Worcester team the confidence to start playing their usual brand of attacking rugby and they were rewarded after 25 minutes with the try of the season so far. From a scrum on their own 10 yard line No 8 Brad Cook broke from the back of the scrum and fed scrum half Sam Brown who ran into space before releasing the lightning quick Callum Neal on the wing. He raced into the opposition 22, before cutting back inside and finding support from the forwards, who brilliantly
offloaded the ball out of a number of tackles before Yusuki Osaki received the final pass and crashed over near the posts. Duddell converted to make it 17-0 and leave the opposition looking stunned.

Sutton managed to regroup at half time however, and began the second half in menacing fashion. After a series of blistering plays they scored from a line out near the touch line. They were unable to convert their effort however, making it 17-5 with 25 minutes to play. Conceding the try only seemed to spur Worcester on to greater things. After a series of fast rucks Brown sidestepped clear and fed Billy Grant who galloped in to score a try in the corner. Duddell stepped up and nailed the conversion from the touchline to make it 24 - 5. With 10 minutes to go Worcester pulled even
further ahead after a great handling movement saw No. 8 Brad Cook crash over in the corner to make the final score 29-5 to the hosts.

This was a great performance from this young colts side who continue to impress. The front row of Tom Bedford, Kenny Foster and Jack Sealey were outstanding, both in the scrum and at rucks. Brad Cook had another fine game at No 8, while skipper Sam Brown led from the front, making a number of breaks. In the centre Ally Duddell was outstanding both in attack and defense, and fly half Ed Harling showed great composure and game management at outside half.
