Walsall 25--Worcester Wanderers 15
A really disappointing day for the lads.
The Wanderers Jekyll and Hyde season continued with a deserved defeat away to relegated Walsall by 25 points to 15.
The day didn't begin well when the Wanderers arrived at Walsall for a 2:15pm kick off only to be told that an administrative error would delay the start until 3pm.
Walsall hurled themselves into the opening quarter and racked up 17 points, at almost a point a minute, to leave the Wanderers facing an uphill struggle to get back into the game.
The Wanderers did, however, make a game of it!
Pat McLeish worked tirelessly throughout, supported by Tom Dodge and James Parker, who came off the bench to make a real impact, in what was otherwise a disappointing Wanderers performance.
Tries from Dodge and McLeish, a conversion and penalty from Tom Biggs gave the final score a better look but, Walsall were always in control of a thoroughly deserved win.
