The 2018/19 rugby season starts on Sunday 2nd September. As well as the lads who played last season, the Worcester "Vikings" welcome new players, whether they have played rugby before or not. Our aim is for the lads to have fun, while playing a simplified form of contact rugby. Under 13 means boys - girls play separately - still aged 12 at midnight on 31st August 2018; ie Year 8 for this school year.
Our main training session (and friendly fixtures in due course) takes place at 10.15-11.45am on Sundays mornings and we have mid-week training at 6.30-7.30pm on Wednesday evenings. We play adjacent to the Warriors’ Sixways stadium, on the Cummins Farm pitches, over the canal bridge from the stadium car park.
Please feel free to bring your child to try a session or two, to see if they enjoy it, after which they must be registered with the club; the subscription is only £60 for the whole season, which lasts from the beginning of September until the end of April. To start with, just wear sports clothes suitable for running around and the weather (but no zips, buttons, loose draw-strings, etc), gum shield (mandatory), studded boots (if you have them) and bring a bottle of water.
Please contact Rachel Foley, the Under 13s’ team manager, on 07788 137179 or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you want more information or just turn up to a Sunday morning session. For coaching matters or match arrangements, please contact Paul Flood on 07775 926130.
