The 2017/18 season started on Sunday 3rd September, but it is not too late to join us. As well as the children who played last season, the Worcester "Vikings" welcome new players, whether they have played rugby before or not. Our aim is for the children to enjoy themselves, while playing a simplified form of contact rugby.
Under 12 means boys still aged 11 at midnight on 31st August 2017 (ie Year 7 for the current school year); girls now play separately. Training, and friendly matches against other clubs in due course, takes place on Sunday mornings at 10.15-11.45am adjacent to the Warriors’ Sixways stadium; we play on the Cummins Farm pitches, over the canal bridge from the stadium car park.
Please feel free to bring your child to try a session or two, to see if they enjoy it, after which they must be registered with the club; the subscription is only £60 for the whole season, which lasts from the beginning of September until the end of April. To start with, just wear sports clothes suitable for running around and the weather (but no zips, buttons, loose draw-strings, etc), gum shield (mandatory), studded boots (if you have them) and bring a bottle of water.
Please contact Rachel Foley, the Under 12s’ team manager, on 07788 137179 or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you want more information or just turn up to a Sunday morning session.
For coaching matters or match arrangements, please contact James Bladon on 07789 398061.
