After joining a restructured Board in 1999, he became acting chairman in October 2006 – a position which was made official on 19 February, 2007. He remained as the club’s figurehead until last December.

Until recently, he attended most home and away games but, this season, has restricted himself to Borough Park matches only – watching the first team and reserves.
