Shot-shy Reds take on low scoring Ramsbottom United in Evo-Stik Premier Division action (3pm), and one wonders if it is worth hanging the nets on the goal frames.

The two lowest scorers in the division go head-to-head hoping to get their respective seasons up and running.

Reds have netted just three goals from their opening five matches whilst Rammy have scored one fewer but, unlike us, have found the target in an away game.

As Reds were losing 2-0 at Halesowen on Saturday, Ramsbottom were going down by the same score at home to Frickley Athletic.

They have just one point to their credit so far and occupy bottom spot in the table.

Twelve months ago, Reds obtained their first win of the season at Ramsbottom’s expense with the return at the Riverside Stadium finishing all square.
