Sam sidelined

He was substituted towards the end of the first half with excessive swelling to an ankle after falling awkwardly.

Sam had an X-ray on Sunday and, although nothing was broken, it confirmed ligament and tendon damage. A scan is scheduled and that will reveal the extent of the damage to an ankle that has troubled him before.

Sam left the ground on crutches and travelled back on the team coach.
