Reds U18's remain unbeaten
Reds maintained there top of the table position following the draw against Maryport Labour Club.
Reds started the game with a lot of possession in Maryport's half and looked in control. The ball was not getting moved quick enough though and Maryport were happy just to sit back and keep their shape with the Reds struggling to make many chances in the first half.
Aston Reynolds, with Reds only half chance and 'keeper David Ousby saving a few half chances from Maryport were the few highlights in what was a scrappy goalless first period.
Reds were sharp out of the blocks in the second half and within two minutes of the restart, Macauley Sharp got a weak shot off which somehow hit the post and sneaked into the goal.
Reds shortly into the second half made a number of changes with a seventeen man squad available to them.
The second half was similar to the first half, plenty of possession but too slow in moving the ball.
Within fifteen minutes of full-time Maryport played a great defence-splitting ball and Maryport's striker finished the chance well to level the scores.
In the final ten minutes, the Reds youngsters pushed for a winner, Sharp missing a chance and right at the end Luke Mitchell hooked a shot but only straight into the keeper's hands.
