Football ‘s coming home – and it’s coming home to Western Super Mare!
Being avid football fans ourselves here at Tanto Labels we have made an agreement with local Somerset football team Worle FC, to provide the club with valuable funding in exchange for advertising on the pitch boards and on the club website.
Worle FC have been playing at Worle recreation ground since 1934 and the really exciting news is the first team have just been promoted to the Somerset Senior League Premier Division while the 2nd team have recently been promoted to the 1st division of the Western & district League. Worle may not be the first football team you think of when considering the nation’s great game, but there is no doubt that we will be hearing a lot more of them. The 2nd team have already won 3 cup finals!
Tanto Labels reaching out to the local community
At Tanto Labels we like to make strong links with our community and so does Worle FC. Gary Coles, fundraiser at the club said there has been a lot of hard work done to attain great on-field achievements and continuous progress – it has all been down to the right support and backing Everyone has played their part on and off field: the players, admin, supporters, and businesses in the local area.
Gary says funding from local business is always a great bonus. “There are [however] many expenses connected with running the club and we rely for funding solely on our own fundraising events and the support of local businesses. The major expense for the club is paying the upkeep costs of the community clubhouse and football pitches.”
The Tanto team are proud to see our advertising boards at the recreation ground and we hope that it will help our future promotions as much as it will help Worle FC keep up entertaining families with stunning community football.
